Using Tragedy to Advance an Agenda

Those of you who have been with me for a while know that I am not shy about voicing my opinions, even if they might ruffle some feathers, at both ends of the political spectrum. I tend to say things that others may be thinking, but don't have the nerve to say, for obvious reasons. Well, here we go again.

Regarding the media coverage of the recent shootings at the massage parlors in Georgia, have you noticed what I have noticed? Right from the beginning the media, the pols, and the usual suspects among the activist class came out with "hate crime" and "anti-Asian racism." They didn't even wait an hour before they had determined what and why. This evening I heard a TV talking head start with "Six of the eight killed were Asian..." That's right, they were, AND TWO OF THEM WERE WHITE!! But you don't hear any talk about "anti-white hatred" on the part of the shooter, do you?

Now understand, those deaths are senseless and I feel sympathy for anyone who loses a family member in such a manner, but can we stop using such situations to advance the "Racism agenda?" The shooter is a sick son-of-a-bitch and I hope he gets whats coming to him. Of course if this had happened in Virginia he would be taken care of for the rest of his life by you tax-payers. I don't know what Georgia's laws are regarding the death penalty, but if there was ever a case to be made for the death penalty this would be one.

But let's go with what we know so far, since the media doesn't seem to want to. Law enforcement said that the shooter admitted that he had a "sex addiction" and was killing those he saw as "tempting him." Now you and I know that is a piss-poor excuse for murdering people, instead he should have turned the gun on himself. But rather than immediately jump to "Anti-Asian racism" maybe one should consider that the reason 6 out of 8 shot were Asian was because that was the majority of those working there. Again, he also shot two white people, because they were working there.

All of this is wrong, what he did was evil and he should suffer the same fate as his victims, but just watch as the media and the pols once again use a tragedy to advance their agenda of hate and division.
